MOMA Scholarship 2022-23

The applications for MOMA Scholarship 2022-23 have started. The last date for students to submit the applications of Post-Matric/MCM/Top-Class schemes is 30th November 2022 whereas for Pre-Matric schemes is 30 November 2022. MOMA scholarships are minority scholarships offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian (Parsi) minorities can avail themselves of Pre-matric scholarships, Post-matric scholarships, and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for Professional and Technical Courses under the MOMA scholarship scheme. The winners of these national minority scholarships receive a scholarship amount of up to INR 20,000 per annum. The Indian government intends to award 30 lakh scholarships under its pre-matric scholarship scheme and 5 lakh scholarships under its post-matric scholarship scheme. MOMA Scholarships Renewal policy

The scholarship is renewed when the candidate submits the certificate of the previous year examination result with 50% marks. MOMA Scholarship provided the selected students may be renewed in the next academic year 2022-23 and Minority scholarship is renewed only when the candidates pursue the same course in the same institution.

MOMA Scholarship Category

Scholarship schemes are divided in following major categories described below (Students are required to select the relevant category based on their class/course in which they are studying):

  • Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme: For students studying from Class 1st to Class 10th.
  • Post – Matric Scholarship scheme/Top Class Scholarship Scheme/Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme: For students studying from Class 11th, 12th and above including Courses like ITI, B.SC, B. Com., B. MOMA Scholarship Eligibility

Only students belonging to the six minority communities: Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Parsi (Zorastrian) and Sikh are eligible to apply for MOMA Scholarship.

  • An applicant must be residing in India.
  • The applicants must belong to a minority community.
  • An online candidate is who is doing a study in an Indian college or university.
  • The applicant’s family household revenue must be a maximum of 2,50,000 annually.
  • The candidate is required to score not less than 50% in his or her examination.
