The scholarship schemes are as given below for the sportsperson of the various categories

* B category: Student will get 100% tuition fee, Free stay, Free foods through the sports scholarship.
* C category: Student will get tuition fee 100% Gold Medal, 75% silver medal, and 50% Bronze Medal through the sports scholarships.
* D category: Student will get 100% tuition fee for the next year.
* O category: Student will get 100% tuition fee, Free stay, Free foods, Special scholarship through the sports scholarships.
Chandigarh University (CU) Scholarship for Defense personnel:
As a tribute to the Indian defense personnel of our country, Chandigarh University has prepared a special scheme for reservation of seats in all courses for the defense personnel and their wards; Tuition fee waivers will also be given to the recruitment wards under this special scheme.
Armed Forces Educational Welfare Scheme (AFEWS):-
For those great soldiers who protect our and our country, Chandigarh University has prepared a reservation cum duty forgiveness plan for defense personnel and their wards. This plan is also a part of India’s social responsibility towards special sections of India. Armed Forces Educational Welfare Scheme (AFEWS) There is a special scheme for reservation of seats in all courses for the wards of Bharti soldiers in various categories. The free benefit will be given in the prescribed tuition fee for the wards of Indian Defense personnel of various categories admitted under this special scheme. The soldiers who fought for our country and became martyrs for that great defense personnel, 5% seats in Defense Courses of Chandigarh University, and their immediate dependents and 5% of seats will be reserved for defense martyrs and their guardian and retired, their spouse and wards.
Priority In Reservation:-
- Order of priority under the plan
- Wounded in war and released Indian defense personnel, life partner and their wards.
- War widows and wards of war casualties.
- Wards of retired defense personnel.
- Wards of serving defense personnel.
The benefit of CUCHD Scholarship
- The Scholarships will be as follows
- Scholarship 15 percentage amount will be given to war widows, and wards of war causalities, war disabled defense personnel, war injured and released defense personnel, spouse and their wards getting superannuated, spouse and their wards.
- Those service officers who want to take up the courses during their study leave will be separately offered 1% seats subject to a minimum of 1 seat in each course.
- Scholarship 10 percentage amount will be given to the wards of serving and retired defense personnel.
- The scholarship will be given equivalent to 20% Tuition Fee.
- The officers on study leave.
NOTE:-
* Maximum 10 percentage seats in each course will be offered under the above scheme.

Procedure For Applying:-
* The original document for claiming the aforesaid scholarship will be submitted to the scholarship branch on or before August 2024 failing which, no scholarship request will be entertained under any circumstances.
* Some of these acceptable Student have to apply for the scholarship at the time of seeking admission on the prescribed format available with the admission cell/registrar office.
Validation Of The Scholarship
* Some of this acceptable concession will be valid for one academic session. After that, the continuation of the same will be determinate on the performance of the basic of the student as per the norms of the university.
