Maharashtra State Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation, Mumbai has been established vide Social Justice Dept. Government Resolution No.EDD-2001/C.R.65/Sudhar-3 Dated.21.11.2001 and registered under section 25 of Companies Act, 1956 on 27th March 2002. The scholarship is mainly aimed to provide the financial assistance to the students who are physically disabled. Scholarship is mainly focused to promote such students to study for higher grades and even gives the benefits such as maintenance and other benefits.
Scholarship Scheme for Disabled/Handicapped students: Maharashtra Scholarship Scheme
Maharashtra is one of the states where the literacy rate is much higher. This
means equal rights of education to all and everyone is aware of the necessity of education. In support of the students of Maharashtra, there are many government, private, state government, deemed and autonomous universities where they can apply and study for a bright future. To apply in the topmost colleges the students need to crack the entrance exams for medical and technical courses. In addition to all this, there are many scholarship schemes which are initiated to support the deserving and needy applicants for their higher studies.
There are many applicants who need support to study and especially the differently-abled students. Here we have some important details to support such applicant for their carrier growth.
After 10th scholarship scheme for the disabled/Handicapped students of Maharashtra:
Once the students qualified their 10th then they started their search for the higher studies. The students with disabilities can apply for this scholarship scheme to continue their studies for 11th and 12th class. This scholarship scheme is awarded by the official authorities of Maharashtra Government. As a reward, through this scholarship scheme, the students will get financial support of 1200 monthly. It must be noted that the scholarship is eligible for the disabled/Handicapped students only.
Primary and secondary level scholarship scheme: Maharashtra
The official authorities of Maharashtra Government initiated this scholarship scheme to support the students of 5th to 8th class for their higher studies. The students need to qualify the exam conducted by the official authorities to apply for the scholarship. The students qualified the exam will be eligible to get the scholarship reward of 1500 INR monthly. This scholarship will be applicable for the applicant belongs to pre-upper primary and pre-secondary level.
Merit-Based Scholarship scheme by the Maharashtra Government:
Rajarshi Scholarship scheme initiated by the official authorities of the Maharashtra Government and the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department of Maharashtra to support the students for their higher studies. Under this scholarship scheme, the students of SC category are only eligible to apply and this scholarship is based on the merit list. As a reward of the scholarship scheme, the students will receive financial support of INR 300 per month.
Book Bank for the students of Maharashtra: For SC applicants
The students pursuing any courses related to technical, medical, pharma, law or any other, are eligible to apply for the books. To get the library card the students need to apply for the scholarship of INR 7,500 and they will get a set of books for the course they are pursuing. The students of SC category are only eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme for book bank. The students need to return the books after the completion of the year.
Scholarship for the students in High School 2021: For Backward class
This scholarship scheme is initiated by the government authorities of Maharashtra. Under this scholarship scheme, the students of the backward category are eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme. The students will get the scholarship reward of INR 100 monthly to continue their studies. The students need to be the permanent citizens of Maharashtra State.
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme by Maharashtra Government:
This scholarship scheme is initiated by the government authorities of Maharashtra. Under this scholarship scheme, the students of OBC category are eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme. The students will get the scholarship reward of INR 425 monthly to continue their studies. The students need to be the permanent citizens of Maharashtra State.

Can I edit already saved information?
All information can be edited until the application is closed. After the final submission, your application will be sent to the next level and the application cannot be edited after that.
Is there a permanent ID? How will I be notified?
Yes. Once registered, the candidate will be provided with an application ID (Permanent ID). This will be given to the candidates through SMS and email. Students should remember their application ID as it will be required when applying for a new / renewal scholarship.
Which fields can the institute/state edit?
The fields that can be edited are Gender, Religion, Category, Profession, Annual Income, Aadhaar Number, Disability, Day Scholar / Hostler, Mode of Study, IFSC Code, Account Number, Admission Fee, and Tuition Fee. However, the reforms, if any, undertaken by the institute/state will be notified to the student immediately through SMS / Email.
