Ramanujan Fellowship 2021-22

Ramanujan Fellowship is meant for brilliant Indian scientists and engineers from outside India to take up scientific research positions in India, those Indian scientists/engineers who want to return to India from abroad. The fellowship is scientist-specific and very selective. The Ramanujan Fellows could work in any of the scientific institutions and universities in the country and they would be eligible for receiving regular research grants through the extramural funding schemes of various S&T agencies of the Government of India. The main aime of Ramanujan Fellowship 2021-22 is provides support to active researchers/ scientists/engineers who want to return to India from abroad and contribute their work for the country.

• Students who are around 55 years of age are eligible for the fellowship.

Q- How do I apply?

Ans- Applicants should register on the portal provided here and submit the online application after the application opens for 2021. There are no paper forms nor any application fee to apply.

Q- Where do I send my documents?

Ans- Financial aid documents should be uploaded to the CollegeBoard IDOC service, which is the safest way to handle these sensitive documents. Any documents sent to our office via mail or fax will be immediately canceled for your privacy.

Q- Do I have to fill online application in one sitting?

Ans- No. You can register by entering your basic details. The system will generate an applicant-ID and password for you. Please note the Applicant-ID and password generated. Later you can fill the online application in as many positions as you want until you are satisfied that you have entered all the desirable fields correctly. The software provides the facility to save your application. Once you “lock” your application, you may not be able to modify it further.

Question- What details do I have to fill in the nomination details of the application form?

Ans- (i) In the Enrollment Number column, enter your roll number in the course/branch on which you are enrolled.

(ii) In enrollment, the Date column enters the date of admission in the first year of your enrolled course/branch.

(iii) For which year you are applying, enter the date of admission/re-entry in the current year of your admitted course/branch in the entry date. (In case of first-year students only, this date will be same as enrollment date).

Q-What happens if I detect mistakes after sending applications to institutions?

Ans- You should inform the scholarship nodal officer of your institute separately about the mistakes you have made. The software facilitates at the institute level to correct the information provided by the applicant.
