Indian Engineering Olympiad, Registration & Benefits

The Indian Engineering Olympiad was launched in 2015 by Thinkcell Private Limited. The IEO 2021 exam takes place in more than 1,800,000 students from more than 65 centers and engineering schools in India across the country, with the country likely to participate in the third edition of the Indian Engineering Olympiad to test its skills. In IT / IT, and in IEO 2021 Election Commission, EE, I, CE, CS will be held for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of Engineering. Applicants have the opportunity to win a cash prize above INR 1 lakh from this Olympiad. This all India exam which tests the abilities of engineering students in their respective fields on a national platform. It is held at the national level in order to provide a competitive ranking of engineering students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently, students studying in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year engineering are only eligible to appear in the Indian Engineering Olympiad examination.
  • Financially weak students will be selected for the award.
  • Indian engineering Olympiad is open to 2021 qualified Indian students.
  • Students who have already graduated, are not eligible.
  • This competition is open to all engineering students.

What are the selection criteria?

  1. Round 1 will be a common paper engineering and general aptitude test of the candidate. This is an online computer-based test that can be taken from anywhere across India.
  2. Round 2 will be a paper-based test for testing the candidate’s technical knowledge and problem-solving skills being taken to designated centers Thinkcell Learning Solutions Will be done. A detailed syllabus will be uploaded on the official portal shortly. 
  3. Round 3 will be an interview round with a panel of experts.

How to apply for Indian Engineering Olympiad?

  • Unfortunately, the application for this scholarship has ended as the deadline was 28 January.
  • Interested students can apply online for the IEO 2021 exam.
  • They must click on the link to apply to go to the official website of IEO. (Click Here)
  • Applicants must register by providing basic information such as their name, address, phone number and a valid email ID.
  • After registration, the login ID and password will be sent to the email ID of the declarant.
  • These credentials will allow applicants to use the IEO 2021 application.
  • Applicants should also upload scanned copies of all required documents.
  • Finally, an application fee of ₹ 100 is to be paid.

Do I need to be an Indian Citizen to qualify?

Yes, you should be an Indian Citizen to qualify for the Programme. You are also eligible if you are conferred the status of a refugee by the Indian Government and hold a valid passport issued by the Indian Government.

How should I set up my schedule so I complete my applications?

Leave lots of time. More than you expect. Keep a calendar with your deadlines near your desk. Better still, sign up for Scholarship Deadline Alerts from Indian Engineering Olympiad. That way you’ll get a monthly email when deadlines are nearing.

What if I forget Indian Engineering Olympiad Applicant ID/ Password?

You can recover your Applicant ID/ Password by clicking on “Registered students: Recover your password” from the Registered Student Log-in box. You have to fill up details like First Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and e-mail Id, as you have entered in the application while generating the initial password. The application will regenerate the Password and SMS would be sent to your contact Mobile Number.

For Renewal cases, the login data ie Application lD and DOB of the previous year are showing an error “Invalid Username/ Password”. What is the solution?

The “Forgot Application lD” option may be used and this problem can be overcome by using Search by Bank Account Number and Search by Mobile Number.

Do I have to fill up the online application in one sitting?

No. You can fill up the online application in many sittings using ‘Save
Draft’, until you are satisfied that you have entered all desirable fields correctly. The software provides the facility to save your application at every stage until you click on the ‘Submit button.

Which fields in the Indian Engineering Olympiad application form are mandatory?

Fields provided with a red asterisk (*) mark are mandatory fields.

What happens, if I detect mistakes after forwarding the Indian Engineering Olympiad applications to the next level?

You should separately inform the mistakes detected by you to the
institute/District/Region/State. The software provides facilities at the level of the institute & state to edit & correct limited information.
