TMC means Toyota Motor Corporation.  The company to manufacture automobiles was established by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as a spinoff of his father’s company, Toyota Industries. Toyota Motor Sales merged into Toyota Motor Corporation in 1982. So after two years later Toyota Motor Company joint venture with General Motors called New United Motor Manufacturing, NUMMI, which operates an automobile manufacturing plant in Fremont, California.
