UP Scholarship 2021-22: In the current academic session, this time about 16 lakh more students will get the facility of scholarship and fee reimbursement as compared to the previous session. In the last academic session, due to the Corona crisis, only 39 lakh students were able to get the UP scholarship 2021-22 and fee reimbursement. These include SC-ST, general category poor, OBC and minority students.PK Tripathi, Joint Director, Social Welfare Department, said that this would be the first academic session when the scholarship-fee compensation amount would be transferred to the bank account in two phases to the students of classes 11-12 and above. The scholarship will be given by the government to the students of classes 9-10. In the first phase, 40% amount will be received from the Social Welfare, Minority Welfare and Other Backward Classes Welfare Department as state share. In the second phase, 60% amount will be transferred from the centre to the accounts in the form of a central share.

40 lakh will get the amount by December 27, The Joint Director said that the details of 15 lakh students who had applied online earlier are being verified. This work will continue till November 25. The amount will be sent to their bank account from 30th November. After this, the amount will be given to the students who apply online from November 29, till December 27. About 40 lakh students will be eligible for this. In this way, 55 lakh students will be given scholarship-fee compensation in this session.
