Science olympiad foundation (ICO):- The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) operates the International Commerce Olympiad (ICO). It was started by leading academics, media personalities and scientists with the sole goal of promoting subjects such as science, mathematics, English, computer education, general knowledge, and vocational courses. The SOF International Commerce Olympiad (ICO) exam is conducted in partnership with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Students who are studying in 11th and 12th grade are eligible for this exam. The exam starts from your November and December months. Interested candidates have to register themselves for participating in the SOF ICO exam.
The examination is being conducted under the administrative control of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a statutory body under the Act of Parliament, The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria of Science olympiad foundation (ICO)
- The student who is in 11th and 12th grade is eligible.
- Candidates from any stream like Humanities, Science, Commerce or Arts are eligible to apply.

How to apply of Science olympiad foundation (ICO)?
A prospectus containing the Registration forms are sent to all schools registered with SOF Science Olympiad Foundation. Candidates are required to submit the filled back to school. Roll numbers will be made by the teachers as per the given guidelines. Students registration sheet (SRS) and the school registration form with the (SRF), a copy of the forms of these roll numbers should be sent to the Foundation’s office before the due date of submission.
Registration Fees
Registration fee of Rs 125 * (including GST) per student / Olympiad for the cost of schools examination in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal Pay for Science olympiad foundation (ICO). An additional fee of Rs 25 per student may be charged for honorarium of the school in-charge, remuneration for teaching and guiding the teachers, and other expenses. No fees are payable for students, for any major physical disability, or for whose parents were martyred during defense operations.
Admit card of Science olympiad foundation (ICO)
The admit cards will be issued on the official website of your Science olympiad foundation (ICO). It is being requested that you download your admit card from the official website at the right time. No student will be admitted to the examination hall without the admit card. The admit card will also be sent to the respective schools. Even your admit card will be sent by post.
How to download the admit card?
- Students who have submitted their application form can download their admit card without any interruption.
- To download the admit card, you will need to enter your date of birth.
- After which you will get the option to download.
- All students are being asked to take a printout of the admit card.
- You will have to download the admit card online and you will not receive the admit card through any courier or post.
- Please keep the admit card till your last admission as you will be allowed to appear in the exam through the admit card.
Result
- After the exam is over, it will take about 1 month to release the exam results at the official site Science olympiad foundation (ICO).
- All the candidates will have to visit on the official site to get their result.
- At the time of downloading the result, you will have to enter your name and your roll number.
- Soon after that, your result will start displaying on your screen, you download it and take a photo print of it.
- Your merit list is made by result month, due to which all students have a higher chance of getting admission in the university.
- Generally, students whose names will be mentioned on the merit list are the first to be given the first letter for admission.

Q- My school does not want to register for the Olympiad, but I am very eager to write the exam. Can i do it on my own SOF does not encourage personal participation?
Ans- Students only have to register through their schools. SOF does not encourage individual participation. Students will have to register in their schools.
Q- When are the Olympiad results announced?
Ans- Olympiad results are declared within 8 weeks of the exam deadline. The results worried schools. Results are also available on our website.
Q- Our school has fewer than 5 students, who are willing to participate in Sochi Eco. Can we still enroll for the test?
Ans- For less than 5 students in a school, it is not viable for the Foundation to hold a Sochi Eco. Therefore at least 5 students should enroll from a school so that a school becomes a center.
Q- Are there any specific books that participants should refer to for eco preparation?
Ans- In general, Ncert Books/syllabus books can be set by CBSE / ICSE / State Boards that can be referred for preparation.
Q- Who is eligible to sit in the Olympiad?
Ans- Students of class 11th and 12th are eligible to appear for Ico. There is no other eligibility criteria like minimum marks. Sof Ico is a single level exam. Students of science, commerce, and humanities thought for Ico.
Q- What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu?
Ans- You should immediately approach the institute to contact with the nodal officer of the state where the institute is located. you can also approach the Noda I officer of that state directly through e-mail under intimation to the Ministry. lf your institute is an eligible institution, the State Government concerned would enter it into the database and then you can apply.
