Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation (S-ILF) offered the Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation Scholarship. This Scholarship is inviting girls who are studying and want to study for nursing studies. These scholarships not only provide financial assistance for young girls from leprosy colonies but also help in creating a better future for them, their families, and their communities. The scholarship will be available only for Institutes recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. The amount of the scholarship is Rs 4,00,000./-. SILF will also pay a stipend of Rs 1000 per month for each candidate to fulfill their requirements.
The only purpose of this scholarship is to motivate girls and instill courage in their minds. The application of Nursing Kalash is incremented every year. Approximately, in 2011, the application was 15, in 2015 the application has been changed to 80 and as of now At the time 75 girls are divided into 8 matches studying for a diploma in nursing and degrees. Motivating girls from this organization is the only effort and the students will be selected through a merit list, then students are requested to give their high secondary examination properly so that their name comes on the merit list.

Important details of Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation Scholarship
- Scholarship for Indian citizen.
- Needy students will be given the first opportunity for scholarships.
- Students should have a 12th class certificate.

Eligibility Criteria of Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation Scholarship
- A girl from only one family will be considered in a year.
- Must not be less than 17 years old.
- In the twelfth grade B.Sc with subjects – English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry are considered for nursing candidates.
- Students have to go to college and school through the regular medium.
- Admission to nursing institutions only is recognized by the India Nursing Council (INC).
- Students need 75% attendance marks in their previous year.
- If a candidate for G.N.M was Arts in XII but manages to get admission in Nursing Institute can be considered.
- Top 10 students Selection is done by a selection committee.
Scholarship Amount
Through the Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation Scholarship, 1000/- per month up to Rs 4,00,000 are cover students tuition fees, Academic fees, Board fees, Hostel fees, deposited Monthly through scholarships and amount of this scholarship is received, it will reach your institute directly, it will not be given you in cash or in their account.
All 05 girls of SBI sponsored batch have completed their courses and got good jobs. These girls are housed in reputed hospitals and earn a salary of between Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000 per month. These girls were the first recipients of this scholarship program and have since inspired and mobilized other girls in their colonies to apply for scholarships at S-ILF.

Q- What details do I have to fill up in the Enrollment details of the Application form?
Ans- (i) In the Enrolment Number column enter your Roll No. in the Course/Branch you are enrolled to.
(ii) In the Enrolment, the Date column enters the Date of Admission in the First year of your enrolled Course/Branch.
(iii) In the Admission Date for Which Year you are applying for Scholarship column enter the Date of Admission/Re-admission in the Current year of your enrolled Course/Branch. (only in the case of Students of the First-year this date will be the same as the Enrolment date).
Q- How can I edit the entries, which are not editable at the Institute level?
Ans- If you have to edit certain entries like Institute Name, Course & Branch, annual Income, etc., which are not editable at the Institute level, you should request the Scholarship Nodal Officer of your Institute to “temporarily Reject” your application, mentioning the mistakes detected by you too. The Application will then be made available at the Applicant level, by the software. You can then log in using provided User-id & password and edit the required details. After editing lock the application again so that it will be forwarded to the Institute.
Q- Can I take a print-out of my application at any stage?
Ans- Yes. Printout of application can be taken at any stage. The finally locked application will have the “Barcode”, which is to be submitted at the Institute.

Ans- The eligible students will get selected on the basis of their academic merit.
