Under this scheme, deserving and meritorious students are allowed to explore their abilities. To be eligible for this scholarship, it is required to pass the NST [National Scholarship Test] and it’s the candidate’s choice whether to appear in online or offline mode in the exam. Students in grades 5th to 12th from a well-known board are eligible to apply for the scholarship programme. The selection procedure is carried out through an exam that lasts 90 minutes and comprises of objective type questions.

National Scholarship Exam 2023 Registration
National Scholarship exam is conducted for students studying in 8th Std. till PhD and the registrations for the exam is ongoing. Students can appear for the exam in multilingual languages and it will be offered in multiple choice questions. Candidates have to must appear for the exam in order to avail the scholarship facility, those who score well in the exam will go ahead with the process in it. At the end of the scholarship, all the active participants will receive a participation certificate.
Students who do best on admission exams at the national and state levels are awarded scholarships by the National Scholarship Test. The top three finishers at the national and state levels are each awarded up to Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 28,000. According to their respective classes, other suitable students also receive the award.

NST Portal
The national scholarship portal can apply for various scholarship schemes offered by the Indian government. Scholarship offered by the government apply online on the National Scholarship Portal. Fresh applications are also being accepted from 31 December 2023. Candidates are required to visit the official website to apply for scholarships. National Scholarship Test Benefits
- The test provides a student with a platform to benchmark their current subject skills among a large group of students across the country.
- The students are provided with the City and National ranks which help them map their performance among their peers.
- The NST result will include a detailed analysis such as the conversion rate of the student, percentage obtained in each section, overall percentage on an All-India level.

National Scholarship Test: Reward
The students who appeared for the NST will be awarded as per the merit list obtained.
- The first three rankers of the NST at the national level will receive financial support of INR 75000/.
- The first three rankers of the NST at the state level will receive financial support of INR 28000/-
- The rest of the candidates, who qualified for the test will receive financial support depending on the class they are pursuing.
- The top 500 students at the national level will be awarded e- Merit certificates.
- There are 10 Special Appreciation Prizes at the national level for each class.
- All the NST test-takers qualify for attractive discounts (based on their performance) on the course fee for various courses such as IIT /NEET Foundation, CBSE tuitions, JEE / NEET/ CLAT / IPM (those students who are in 10th class).

- Indian students with valid residential proof are accessible to apply for the scholarship scheme.
- The students from class 5th to 12th from well-reputed state or central board are eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme.
- The students are required to pass their previous year examinations to apply for this scheme.
