The University Grants Commission recently announced a new merit list for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme. The Ishan Uday Northeast Scholarship Program participants can now see the merit list. Visit the official website ugc.ac.in. The merit list is for students applying for 2020-21. Registration for the UGC Ishan Uday scholarship 2021-22 ends on January 15, 2021. No merit list has been released yet.

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship

• The UGC has decided to introduce the “Ishan Uday” Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region to improve the NER, promote higher education, and encourage children from economically underprivileged areas.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Students from NER whose parents’ total annual income does not exceed Rs.4.5 lakh.
2. Passed XII or equivalent in the previous year of study, i.e. 2017 for 2017-18 applicants.
3. Obtained first-year admission to any degree programme, general, technical, professional, medical, or paramedical (Integrated courses included).
4. It is worth 5400 rupees a month for a general degree course and 7800 for a technical/medical/professional or paramedical course.
