The Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence is the flagship fellowship of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office for India and has been in place for over 20 years. The fellowship aims to target young high-travelers and mid-career professionals from diverse backgrounds with strong and demonstrative leadership abilities. This fellowship is organized by the University of Oxford’s Department of Politics and International relations. The fellowship is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Can a partnership be arranged for short courses, distance education, or Ph.D.?

In general, the Chevening Scholarship Program awards one year in master’s level degree courses. A very small number of short courses are offered, but only on an exceptional basis. Distance learning scholarships and PhDs are not eligible for funding under a Chevening scholarship.
