Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS)

Central Sector Scholarship 2023-24 offers up to INR 20000 per year to meritorious graduate/PG students. The Ministry of Human Resource Development of India has invited all students to the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for college and university students. Central Government Scholarship For 12th Passed Students is very much discussed and helps meritorious students who are not able to spend much for their studies, they will get the scholarship scheme of Higher Education Central Region. The CSSS scholarship is provided by the Department of Education from 2008 to college and university students. Through the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship, meritorious students will receive financial aid so that they can preserve their entire higher education and change their names throughout the world. CSS scholarship 2023 Application Form

Interested candidates can apply for the CSSS Scholarship the registration process for the central sector scholarship application form, MHRD has made the CSS Scholarship Application Online. Through National Scholarship Portal eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by registering online. Central sector scholarship 2023 last date is 31 December 2023.

CSSS Eligibility Criteria

  • Students will obtain a hither scholarship under your twelfth-grade. Aspirants do not essential any examination for this scholarship.
  • There are 82000 scholarships in total, which are divided into two parts, 41000 are given to the meritorious girls’ candidates and 41000 are given to meritorious boys candidates. 
  • Those students who have done in excess of, 80 and 80 percentage in the 12th standard will be given the Scholarships.
  • The family income of the students it is necessary inferior 6 lakhs.
  • Students have to get regular classes.
  • In case students taken all of the other scholarships then you are not partnered for this scholarship.
  • The two applications were submitted in the course of no more than one candidate, a candidate to submit a single application for a course, both applications will be rejected.

Scholarship price under the scheme (CSSS)

How will students renewal scholarship and what is the duration?

Postgraduate courses

The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship is renewed from year to year up to Post Graduate level in the same stream. For all professional courses, the scholarship will be renewed until the Graduation level. Furthermore, the scholarship would be renewed up to a maximum of five (5) years only.

Criteria  

Some criteria have been created for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship renewal, students have to get 60% marks more than 60% marks in examination, besides 75% attendance in their examination. Apart from this, students will have to be good in all activities, they should not spoil their name in any activity like ragging. 

12 standard 

Students of class XII pass are required to apply directly from the respective State Education Boards / CBSE from the academic year 2008 to 2014 and submit their renewal application form duly certified from their respective institutions.

Who can apply for a scholarship under CSSS on National Scholarship Portal (NSP)? 

Students who have passed 12th class and their names are coming in the top 20 students in the merit list are awarded for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship. The aspirant must pass the concerned Board (SEB/CBSE/CISCE). Students whose names will not come to Merit List will not get the scholarship.

Students who have passed the 12th class from 2019 to 2020 have received scholarships and the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students. Apart from this, he can apply at National Scholarship Portal http://scholarships.gov.in/. for 2nd renewal (2019-20) and 1st renewal (2017-18).

How to apply for Scholarships (CSSS)?

  • Aspirants can apply on the National Scholarship Portal http://scholarships.gov.in/. 
  • All students are being requested to carry with them certain details such as Bank Passbook, Aadhaar Card Number, Income Certificate, Mobile Number, Mail ID, Category Certificate, Disability Certificate, Date of Birth, before applying for this National Scholarship Portal.
  • After filling all the details, the student has to select the post-matric option and the Sector Central Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students.

What are the issue to be bear in mind while selecting your institute?

The data of only those institutions which have the AISHE (All India Developer of Higher Education) code is available on the National Scholarship Portal. The student is required to select the correct institute because once an application is submitted, the name of an institute cannot be changed on the NSP. Institutions that do not have an AISHE code may also have to obtain an AISHE code. Institutions are required to visit the website: http://aishe.nic.in to apply for AISHE. User IDs and passwords are required by institutions for the verification of applications on NSPs.

Which documents to upload

No documents will be required. National Scholarship portal at the time of submitting an online application, you will have to carry the document when you visit your institute.

What instructions should students follow at the time of filling the bank details?

  • The bank account should be in the name of the student only.
  • Enter your bank branch exactly.
  • Enter your complete bank account number without any mistake.
  • If your KYC has not been done, get KYC done because your money transfer will be done for the scholarship.
  • The bank account should be active.
  • Bank Account must be preferably in any Nationalized Bank with a core banking facility.

  • Fill the registration form then you will get a registration id number
  • Once you login fills all the application forms and upload the passport size photograph and submit it.

How can students check their application status?

Students have to remember and keep their login ID and date of birth according to which they can check their status, after entering the login ID and date of birth, you will have to check your status option show under it, you will see the application status.

Note:- After all, the students submitting applications on the portal are advised to verify your online application by the respective institution’s scheduled time.

What is the period of the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship and criteria for renewal under the scheme?

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship will be renewed for a maximum of five (5) years for all courses. At the same level, the scholarship is renewed up to the post-graduate level. For all professional courses, the scholarship will be renewed till graduation. Renewal of the scholarship is subject to the student fulfilling the following criteria: –

The renewal of the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship is subject to the student, who has scored 60% or more in the previous examination, with 75% attendance, and is not involved in ragging activities.

How much is the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship amount under this scheme for study each?

Each scholarship amount is different, for every level Rs 10000 will be given every year to the students who have been studying at graduation level for 3 years, whether from college or university. Rs 20000 rupees are given every year to postgraduate students. For vocational courses, Rs. 20,000 / – per annum in the 4th and 5th years.

How can I apply for a scholarship under CSSS?

Before registering on the National Scholarship Portal, students are advised to keep the following documents ready with them

What are the archives to be transferred for application and verification?

There is no need to transfer any report at the time of online application on the National Scholarship Portal. Despite this, it should be kept ready, which will be required at the time of the verification, based on the institutions.
